These terms govern your use of LoremiAI. Please read section 3 (Beta) and section 8 (Liability) in particular — they materially affect what you can expect from the service.
1. Who you are contracting with
For customers in the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, your contracting party is Alaa Al Sayegh, freelance software developer, Weiterstadt, 64331, Germany ("we", "us").
Customers in the GCC and MENA region contract with Alphametic Services & Technologies s.a.r.l (AST). Full details for both entities are in the Imprint.
These terms apply to both consumers and businesses. Where a provision applies only to one, this is stated.
2. The service
LoremiAI is a document intelligence platform. You upload documents; we make them searchable and let you ask questions about them in natural language, using optical character recognition and AI language models.
A contract forms when you complete registration and we confirm your account by email.
3. Beta status
LoremiAI is currently in Beta. This is not a formality — it changes what you may reasonably expect:
a) The service is provided without any availability guarantee. There is no SLA. It may be unavailable, slow, or interrupted without notice.
b) Features may change, be restricted, or be removed entirely at any time.
c) Output produced by AI models may be incomplete or wrong. You must not rely on it for legal, financial, medical or other consequential decisions without independent verification. It is a research aid, not professional advice.
d) We may end the Beta and discontinue the service with 30 days' notice. You will be able to export your data during that period.
e) Do not upload special categories of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR (health data, biometric data, religious or political views, trade union membership, sexual orientation), nor material subject to specific professional secrecy obligations (for example § 203 StGB), nor anything whose loss or disclosure you could not tolerate.
f) You must keep your own backups. We maintain backups as a matter of good practice but during Beta we do not warrant that data can be recovered.
Where the service is provided free of charge, our liability is limited accordingly — see section 8.
4. Your account
You must give accurate registration details and keep them current. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at info@loremi.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years old.
Workspace administrators can invite other users. If you invite someone, you are responsible for ensuring you are entitled to share workspace content with them.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- upload content you have no right to upload, or that infringes third-party rights;
- upload unlawful material, malware, or anything designed to disrupt the service;
- attempt to circumvent access controls, or access another workspace's data;
- reverse engineer the service, except to the extent § 69e UrhG permits;
- resell or provide the service to third parties without our written agreement;
- use the service to build a competing product;
- place automated load on the service beyond normal interactive use.
We may suspend accounts that breach this section. Where practicable we warn first; for serious breaches we may act immediately.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you upload. We claim no ownership.
You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: storing, processing, indexing your content and transmitting it to the sub-processors listed on the AI & Sub-processors page, for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and neither do our AI providers.
You warrant that you have the right to upload your content and — where it contains personal data about others — a lawful basis for having it processed by us.
7. Data protection
Our processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Where we process personal data contained in your documents, we act as your processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Our Data Processing Agreement applies and forms part of these terms. Business customers who require a signed copy can request one at info@loremi.ai.
8. Liability
8.1 We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, under the Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and where we have given a guarantee.
8.2 For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on which you may routinely rely (a Kardinalpflicht). In that case liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract.
8.3 All other liability for slight negligence is excluded.
8.4 Where the service is provided free of charge, our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence.
8.5 Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. For consumers, the restrictions of § 309 no. 7 BGB apply and take precedence over anything above.
9. Term and termination
The contract runs indefinitely. You may terminate at any time, without notice period, by deleting your account or writing to info@loremi.ai. We may terminate with 30 days' notice, or immediately for good cause.
On termination your data is deleted per the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy. Export your data before you close your account.
10. Right of withdrawal (consumers only)
This section applies only if you are a consumer — a natural person entering the contract for purposes outside your trade, business or profession. If you registered on behalf of a company, it does not apply to you and you have no right of withdrawal.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.

— by a clear statement (for example a letter or email). You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory. Sending your communication before the period expires is sufficient.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw, we reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day we are informed, using the same means of payment you used unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees for the reimbursement.

11. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms where necessary. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before changes take effect. If you do not object before they take effect, they are deemed accepted; we will point this out in the notice. If you object, either party may terminate.
Material changes require re-acceptance at your next sign-in.
12. Final provisions
Governing law. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation).
Jurisdiction. Where you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the courts of Weiterstadt have exclusive jurisdiction. For consumers, statutory jurisdiction applies.
Consumer dispute resolution. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
Severability. If a provision is or becomes invalid, the remainder stays in force.
